Error description
A recent fix added a DateValue attribute to the AssetSpec object. However, a DateValue attribute was not added to the AssetSpecHistory object. As a result, if an AssetAttribute record is created with Type DATE and it is added to a ClassStructure that is valid for the ASSET object and that ClassStructureID is used on an Asset and a Date is entered on the AssetSpec record for that attribute, the AssetSpecHistory record created for that AssetSpec does not store the value entered for the Date. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1) Go to the Classifications application. 2) Select Action / Add/Modify Properties / Attributes. 3) Click "New Row" and enter "PURCHASEDATE" as Attribute, "Purchased Date" as Description, "DATE" as Data Type, and click "OK". 4) Search for ITAM_ALT \ COMP_EQU \ COMPUTER \ NOTEBOOK. 5) Add the "PURCHASEDATE" attribute to it. 6) Go to the Assets application. 7) Create a new Asset in the BEDFORD Site with ItemNum = "D650". 8) Click on the Specifications tab. You should see a row for the new PURCHASEDATE attribute with no values. The other attributes inherited value from the Item. 9) Enter a date in the "Date Value" column for that row and hit SAVE. Make a note of the time. 10) Wait a few minutes. 11) Change the values in the "Numeric Value" column and hit SAVE. 12) Click Select Action / View / View Asset Specification History. 13) Notice that no value appears for the "Purchase Date" row but the other 3 rows show the last values entered in STEP 11. 14) Change the Time component of the "As of" field to a couple of minutes after STEP 9 and before STEP 11. 15) Click the "Filter" to expand the Filter Row and then click the Magnifying Glass to refresh the list. You should see the values in the "Numeric Value" column reset to what they were before STEP 11. But the "Purchase Date" row still doesn't show a value. The "View Asset Specification History" dialogue is supposed to show the values that existed for Asset Specification attributes at any point in time but that is not working for DATE attributes. Part of the problem is that there isn't a "Date Value" column on the dialogue. It can't be added because no DateValue attribute exists on the AssetSpecHistory object. ENVIRONMENT: Maximo 7.6.1.2
