IJ37911: MEDIAUPDATE.BAT IN 6.3.0.7-TIV-ITM-SP0007 OR THE LATER FIX PACK DOES NOT UPDATE WINDOWS MEDIA CORRECTLY WITH NON-ENGLISH WINDOWS

IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.3.0 Fix Pack 7 Service Pack 12 (6.3.0.7-TIV-ITM-SP0012)

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• mediaupdate.bat in 6.3.0.7-TIV-ITM-SP0007 or the later fix pack
  does not update windows media correctly with Japanese Windows
  Operating System.
  
  
  Use the following installation media file to install Windows
  Server 2019 and then do the following steps.
  
  - ja_windows_server_2019_x64_dvd_260a1d93.iso
  
  
  (1) download the following media and extract under
  "C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads" directory.
  
  IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.3.0.7 Agents, Multiplatform,
  Multilingual (CNME0ML) --- ITM_V6.3.0.7_AGT_MP_ML.tar.gz
  IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.3.0 Fix Pack 7 Service Pack 7
  (6.3.0.7-TIV-ITM-SP0007) --- 6.3.0.7-TIV-ITM-Windows-SP0007.zip
     Or
  IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.3.0 Fix Pack 7 Service Pack 8
  (6.3.0.7-TIV-ITM-SP0008) --- 6.3.0.7-TIV-ITM-Windows-SP0008.zip
     Or
  IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.3.0 Fix Pack 7 Service Pack 9
  (6.3.0.7-TIV-ITM-SP0009) --- 6.3.0.7-TIV-ITM-Windows-SP0009.zip

  (2) execute mediaupdate.bat to update windows media with the
  following commands

  C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\ITM_V6.3.0.7_AGT_MP_ML
     Or

  (4) A dialog that includes the following messages is displayed
  and the installation cannot be processed.

Problem summary

• mediaupdate(.bat) in 6.3.0.7-TIV-ITM-SP0007 or the later fix
  pack
  does not update windows media correctly for non-english Windows
  Operating Systems.

  install
