APAR status

Error description

  • Installp can coredump with XPG_SUS_ENV environment
variable
is ON. The stack will be as follow :

Local fix

  • The problem can be avoided by :
unset XPG_SUS_ENV
or
export LANG=C
before running the installp command.

Problem summary

  • INSTALLP command can coredump with XPG_SUS_ENV=ON
after 7.2 TL5 update.

Problem conclusion

  • Added required code changes
to avoid installp command
to dump core with XPG_SUS_ENV=ON
