IJ35324: CLEARACA CMD FAILURE, DUE TO LINK DOWN, COULD CAUSE HANG.

 

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • if clearaca cmd is rejected by the protocol driver due to
    link down the cmd will be failed back but the dev_info
    queue may be left in an error state cause cmd's to be in
    the
    pending queue.
    

Local fix

  • unmapping vfc adapter, wait 60 seconds, and re-map
    temporarily
    resolve the problem. Other cases may require a reboot.
    

Problem summary

  • i/o might hung with the following errpt entries,
    fscsi3  T FCP_ERR6 000000F0: Protocol driver rejected clear ACA
