Error description

  • Error Message: SIGILL received when reversed-order long
arraycopy has to happen on POWER10 native mode on AIX7.3 only.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • AIX assembler or C++ preprocessor handled the negative sign the
last. As a result, the sign-bit is extended to the whole
instruction resulting in an illegal instruction on POWEr10.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Bracket the offset leads to the negative-sign not as the last
assembly operation. That will fix it.

   8    SR6 FP36  (8.0.6.36)
