1. Login as maxadmin 2. Create 4 rotating items in Central, Bedford PIM001 - Parent Item 1 CIM001 - Child Item 1 CIM002 - Child Item 2 CIM003 - Child Item 3 3. Go to PIM001 ?> Item Assembly Structure - Add CIM001, CIM002 and CIM003 as children - Save record 4. Create a PO (1190) - Company - ATI-R 5. POLines ?> Add new row - Item - PIM001 - Quantity - 2 - Order Unit - Each 6. Approve the PO 7. Go to Receiving ?> 1190 ?> Select Ordered Items ?> PIM001 8. More Actions ?> Receive Rotating Items ?> Click Autonumber - Now you have 2 rotating assets: 2166 and 2167 9. Click on Apply IAS button for asset 2166 - Apply Item Assembly Structure dialog box opens - Click Autonumber all - Now you have 4 rotating assets for the 4 child assets of the Parent Item PIM001 (Parent Asset: 2166) - CIM001 ?> 2168 - CIM002 ?> 2169 - CIM003 ?> 2170 10. Click on Apply IAS button for asset 2167 - Apply Item Assembly Structure dialog box opens - Click Autonumber all - Now you have 4 rotating assets for the 4 child assets of the Parent Item PIM001 (Parent Asset: 2166) - CIM001 ?> 2171 - CIM002 ?> 2172 - CIM003 ?> 2173 11. Close the dialog boxes - So now you have 2 Parent rotating Assets in central, Bedford with associated 3 child rotating assets 12. Go to Inventory Usage ?> Create new record ?> 1763 - From Storeroom - Central - Usage Type - Transfer - Save record 13. New Row - Item - PIM001 - To Site - Nashua - To Storeroom - Central - Quantity - 1 - Rotating Asset - 2166 - Save record 14. New Row - Item - PIM001 - To Site - Nashua - To Storeroom - Central - Quantity - 1 - Rotating Asset - 2167 - Save record 15. Change Status to Shipped - Shipment number - 1007 16. Go to Default Information - Default Insert Site - Nashua - Storeroom Site for Self-Service Requiisitions - Nashua - Click ok 17. Go to Shipment Receiving ?> 1007 ?> Select Shipped Items - Select both Shipment lines and click ok - Save the record 18. More Actions ?> Receive Rotating Items - Click ok So now we have received these assets and associated child assets in central, Nashua. 19. Go to Inventory ?> PIM001 20. More actions ?> Issue Current Item - Rotating Asset - 2166 - Location - NAL001 (Operating Location) - Click OK 21. More actions ?> Issue Current Item - Rotating Asset - 2167 - Location - NAL001 (Operating Location) - Click OK So now we have issued these rotating assets from a Storeroom location to an operating location. 22. Go to Assets ?> Go to Asset 2169 - Child Item 2 23. More Actions ?> Move/Modify Assets 24. Move/Modify Dialog box opens - To Parent - keep it null - To Location - NAL001 - Click OK to close the dialog box 25. Assets ?> List View ?> Filter for Assets 2169 and 2172 - Result 2169 - Parent is null 2172 - 2167 is the parent 26. Common Actions ?> Move/Modify Assets 2169 - To Parent ?> 2167 2172 - To Parent ?> delete the 2167 and make it null Click ok to close the dialog box 27. Now go to the Parent Asset 2167 ?> Spare Parts The children (subassembles) assets are: 2169 2171 2173 This is correct Staying in this parent asset 2167, we will now put this asset to a storeroom location so that we can transfer it from central, nashua to central, Bedford 28. More Actions ?> Move/Modify Assets To Location ?> Central Click ok to close the dialog 29. Go to Inventory Usage ?> Create a new record 1764 - From Storeroom - Central - Usage Type - Transfer - Save record 30. New Row - Item - PIM001 - To Site - Bedford - To Storeroom - Central - Quantity - 1 - Rotating Asset - 2167 - Save record 31. Change Status to Shipped - Shipment number - 1008 32. Go to Default Information - Default Insert Site - Bedford - Storeroom Site for Self-Service Requiisitions - Bedford - Click ok - - 33. Go to Shipment Receiving ?> 1008 ?> Select Shipped Items - Select Shipment line and click ok - Save the record 34. More Actions ?> Receive Rotating Items - Click ok Now we have received the parent asset 2167 into Central, Bedford 35. Go to Assets ?> 2167 ?> Spare Parts tab RESULT: Subassemblies (children) assets 2171 2173 THIS IS INCORRECT EXPECTED RESULT: Subassemblies (children) assets 2171 2169 (Refer to Step 26 above) 2173 Note: If you check the asset 2169, it?s parent is still listed as 2166 and not 2167.
