Error description

  • ERROR DESCRIPTION:
    
    No longer able to add file attachments to work orders when using
    an iPad or iPhone after 7612 IFIX.
    
    
    PROBLEM:
    
    Users are no longer able to add file attachments to work orders
    when using an iPad or iPhone (tried with Safari, Chrome and
    Firefox).
    
    It works when using Windows laptop with Chrome.
    
    The problem appears when the user select the file to be
    uploaded.
    The following message is shown:
    
    "The file unknown is not valid or not in the selected directory.
    Provide a valid file name and try again."
    
    
    PERFORMANCE ISSUE: No.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    Login to Maximo using an iPad or iPhone device
    Go to any app with doclinks like Asset, Locations or Work Order
    Open any record
    Try to add a new file
    From the dialog click Select Files -> Photo Library or Browse
    Choose a picture or document from the device gallery
    Add a name and description
    Click OK
    The following message is shown:
    
    "The file unknown is not valid or not in the selected directory.
    Provide a valid file name and try again."
    
    
    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
    
    The file is not uploaded to the Maximo record.
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    
    The file should be uploaded to the Maximo record.
