Error description

  • In the Graphical Work (GWW) application the right click menu
lists applications that the user has no rights in their
security groups to run. When the user clicks on the option
they see an error message saying they are not authorized to use
    that application.
Sometimes the message is not displayed and the screen clears as
if it were going to go to the application but then the GWW
    screen repaints.
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Use an environment with at least one Industry solution
installed so there will be more than one Work Order Tracking
    application.
For these steps the Nuclear Industry solution will be used.
    2. Create a user who can run all of the scheduler applications
but who has no access to Work Order Tracking (Nuc). Verify
    this by
logging in as the user and verifying that Work Order Tracking
(Nuc) is not present on the Work Orders menu.
    3. Log in as the user who has no access to Work Order Tracking
    (Nuc).
    4. Go To GWW.
    5. Open any work list and click on the Graphical View.
    6. Right click on any work order.
    RESULTS:
Go To Work Order Tracking (Nuc) and it will be on the menu.
    Select
it and either a message appears saying you are not authorized
to run the application or the screen will repaint without ever
showing you Work Order Tracking (Nuc).
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
Applications that are not authorized for the user should not
appear on the right click menu.
Go to Graphical Scheduling and you will not see Work Order
    Tracking (Nuc)
    on the right click menu.
