IJ32026: WORK TYPE THAT IS ON AN OPEN WORK ORDER CAN BE DELETED LEADING TO ERRORS ON WORK ORDER

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When trying to complete a work order having a work type that no
  longer exists an error message is displayed, but it is possible
  to have the Actual Finish Date populated even thou the status
  of the work order cannot be changed to COMP.
  STEPS TO
  REPRODUCE:
  1.	Go to Administration -> Organizations and choose
  value EAGLENA
  2.	Choose More Actions -> Work Order Options ->
  Work Type
  3.	Create a new worktype eg. CM_T:
  a.	Work Order
  Class: WORKORDER
  b.	Type: Repair
  4.	Open the Work Order
  Tracking application; find a workorder with status INPRG and
  change the work type to the new created work type CM_T and save
  (Remember the Workorder number)
  5.	Go back to Organizations
  and choose value EAGLENA
  6.	Choose More Actions -> Work Order
  Options -> Work Type and delete the new work type CM_T
  7.	Go
  back to Workorder application and find the workorder you
  recently changed the work type on
  8.	Select this workorder and
  under Common Actions choose Change Status and select value
  Completed then click OK - You will now receive an error like
  this BMXAA4590E - Could not change Work Order xxxxx status to
  COMP. Null
  9.	Click Cancel and verify that the field for
  Actual Finish is still empty
  10.	Now try the same again,
  choose Change Status and select value Completed; when you
  receive the error click OK and now directly click OK again -
  You will again receive the same error so click OK and then
  Cancel
  11.	Now the workorder will be updated with a value for
  Actual Finish but the workorder is still in status
  INPRG
  RESULT:
  Work type that is on an open work order could be
  deleted leading to errors on work order
  EXPECTED
  RESULT:
  Prevent the user from deleting the work type that is on
  an open work order
