Error description

  • In the Graphical Work Week (GWW) application changing a start
    date to be over a week after the Work List ends, causing it to
    hang, displaying the Processing message until you click on
    Refresh Work List.
    When it happens this was shown in the debug section at the
    bottom of the Graphical View tab:
    [0] g8973: Cannot update row with id='INFO', the row not found
    [0] g8973: Error result '-10' received from server from
    Upload_Url='XXXX/maximo/ui/ma

    ventname%22%3A%22async_upload_changes%22%7D%5D';;
    Clicked Refresh and date was changed and could proceed.
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Create a new work order with duration 6 and one Planned Labor
    row.
    2. Add a task to the new work order with duration 6 and one
    Planned Labor row.
    3. Go To GWW and create a new Work List for that new work order.
    4. Give it a Start Date of Monday of next week.
    5. Give it an End Date of 2 weeks ahead.
    6. Check the Include Work Orders Without Dates? checkbox. When
    you check that checkbox a question mark in a circle will appear
    next to it. Click on it and then click OK to fully implement
    the Include Work Orders Without Dates? check-box.
    7. Save and click on the Graphical View tab
    8. Use the calendar icon in the Start Date column to select a
    date one week beyond the end of the Work List.
    RESULTS:
    The 'Processing...' message box appears and never goes away.
    Maximo looks like it is hung but it is not, you can click on
    almost anything to proceed. For example click on Refresh Work
    List. The 'Processing...' message box clears and the
    Graphical View tab repaints. You will see the new date you
    selected for the Start Date.
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    A message should appear telling you that you cannot move the
    date beyond the end of the Work List.

Local fix

  • Click on Refresh Work List and you will see the date changed
    and you will be able to keep working.
