IJ30090: TAPE BACKUP OR RESTORE MAY FAIL OR BE SLOW WITH VIOS 3.1.2

Error description

  * USERS AFFECTED:
  * Systems running VIOS 3.1.2.0 or 3.1.2.10
  * with devices.vdevice.IBM.vfc-server.rte below 7.2.5.100.

  * ERROR DESCRIPTION:
  * LPARs running applications with serialized I/O (typically
  * tape jobs) using Virtual Fiber Channel adapters (NPIV) on
  * VIOS 3.1.2 may experience slow I/O or I/O failures.
  *
  * We have seen this primarily with IBMi tape backups over
  * NPIV, causing them to take significantly longer or fail
  * after updating the VIOS to 3.1.2.
    **************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:
  * Install APAR IJ30090.
  * Prior to fix availability, an interim fix is available from
  * either
  * ftp://aix.software.ibm.com/aix/ifixes/ij30090/
  * https://aix.software.ibm.com/aix/ifixes/ij30090/
  * Installation of the ifix requires a reboot.

• Revert VIOS back to previous version.

  Sometimes backup/restore may take very long time.

• - Process last queued command on CRQ before sleep.
  - Set the abort_key before putting command on schedule queue
