Error description
Problem Description: The issue occurs when the Maximo servers and users are located in different time zones. In this scenario, please consider the following: - Both Maximo app and database servers' time zones are set as US Eastern. - The Site record is associated to time zone US/Hawaii - (GMT -10 DST/N) Hawaii Standard Time. - In the Maximo Users application, for the user in question, the time zone is set as US/Hawaii - (GMT -10 DST/N) Hawaii Standard Time. - In the user client machine, the Time Zone is set as (UTC-10:00) Hawaii. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Login to Maximo as maxadmin. 2. Add Start and Stop Timer to Quick Reporting app following the technote below: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/adding-start-and-stop-timer-qu ick-reporting 3. Using Application Designer, make both WORKORDER.ACTSTART and WORKORDER.ACTFINISH fields visible in Quick Reporting application. 4. Go to Organizations application. 5. Bring up EAGLENA Organization and add a new Site (SITE3) to that Organization. 6. Associate the Time Zone US/Hawaii to SITE3 and save it. 7. Go to Users application. 8. Create a new user (USER3) associated to MAXADMIN Group and: Person: USER3 Display name: user3 Default Insert Site: SITE3 Time Zone: US/Hawaii 9. Go to Labor application. 10. Create a new Labor named USER3 associated to PERSON3 and any valid Craft. 11. Login to Maximo as user3. 12. Go to Quick Reporting application. 13. Create a new WO record and save it. Note that the system sets WORKORDER.ACTSTART field correctly. In this example, 11/25/20 11:05 AM (Hawaii time). 14. Wait for 5 minutes, then from Common Actions menu, select Start Timer. RESULTS: At this point, the system sets WORKORDER.ACTSTART field wrongly to 11/25/20 06:10 AM. EXPECTED RESULTS: The WORKORDER.ACTSTART field should remain 11/25/20 11:10 AM (Hawaii time). Since the WORKORDER.ACTSTART is earlier than the new LABTRANS.STARTTIME, the ACTSTART should not change. The new Labor should have a LABTRANS.STARTTIME of 11:10 AM (Hawaii time). REPORTED IN VERSION: IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.2
