Error description

  • In the Graphical Resource View (GRV) application the Graphical
    View tab gets this error when loading:
    
    BMXAA4214E - An unknown error has occurred. Please contact your
    system administrator for assistance. Gather the logs from the
    <HOME> directory and determine where and why the error occurred.

    This hapens when the SCHEDULER 'ui' logger is set in DEBUG mode
    in the Logging application.  The GRV application tries to show
    attributes that are nullable for this specific application so
    the error occurs.   Setting the logger to INFO or below will
    avoid this problem.
    
    The Console logs shows this error:

    {"error":1,"message":"BMXAA4214E - An unknown error has
    occurred. Please contact your system administrator for
    assistance. Gather the logs from the \HOME\ directory
    and determine where and why the error occurred.\n\tnull"}
    [0] g3829: Cannot load TreeGrid source data
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Go to the Logging application.
    2. Filter for SCHEDULER.
    3. Set the SCHEDULER Root Logger to Log Level DEBUG.
    4. WIth  the SCHEDULER Root Logger still highlighted go to the
    Logger section in the bottom section of the screen.    Set the
    'ui' Logger to Log Level DEBUG.
    5. Save and Apply Settings.
    6. Go to the Graphical Resource View application.
    7. Use any existing Resource List or create a new one.
    8. Click on the Graphical View tab.
    
    RESULTS:
    The errors above are shown followed by the yellow "The Data
    Cannot Display" message.
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    No errors should be shown and the Graphical View tab displays
    correctly.

Local fix

  • Set the 'ui' Logger to a Log Level below DEBUG such as INFO.
