APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • DESCRIPTION:
    If updates are made to a Company record in Company Master, the
    updates do not populate, or do not populate correctly for
    related companies when the flag for "Update Related Companies".
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Log in to maxdemo instance
    2. Go To Profile | Default Information
    3. Verify or update the Default Insert Site to be BEDFORD
    4. Click OK
    5. Go To Purchasing | Company Master
    6. Common Actions | New Company Master
    7. In the Company field enter "IBMCO"
    8. In the Description field enter "IBM Company"
    9. On the Addresses tab | Customer Contact field | enter "Mike"
    10. In the Contact field enter "Wilson"
    11. Save the record
    12. On the Contacts tab enter values for the row for Wilson:
    Phone: 555-1234
    E-mail: wilson@ibmco.com
    13. Enter values for the row for Mike:
    Phone: 555-5678
    E-mail: mike@client.com
    14. Save the record
    15. More Actions | Add Company Master to Organization
    16. Click the checkboxes for EAGLENA, EAGLEUK
    17. Click OK
    18. Click OK at the System Message, "BMXAA0299I - Company IBMCO
    was created in EAGLENA, EAGLEUK."
    19. Go To Purchasing | Companies
    20. In the Company field enter "ibmco" and press Enter
    21. Click IBMCO
    22. On the Contacts tab view/verify the rows/values
    23. On the Addresses tab view/verify the Customer Contact and
    Contact values
    24. Go To Default Information
    25. Go To Profile | Default Information
    26. In the Default Insert Site | Select Value | click WOKING
    27. Click OK
    28. In the Companies application | Company field | enter
    "ibmco" and press Enter
    29. Click IBMCO
    30. On the Contacts tab view/verify the rows/values
    31. On the Addresses tab view/verify the Customer Contact and
    Contact values
    32. Go To Purchasing | Company Master
    33. In the Company field enter "ibmco" and press Enter
    34. Click IBMCO
    35. Check the "Update Related Companies" checkbox
    36. Save the record
    37. On the Addresses tab Remit To Information section | change
    the Contact field value to "Accounts Payable"
    38. Save the record
    39. On the Contacts tab enter values for the row for Accounts
    Payable:
    Phone: 555-1234
    E-mail: ap@ibmco.com
    40. Save the record
    41. On the Company Master tab Check the "Update Related
    Companies" checkbox
    42. Save the record
    43. Go To Purchasing | Companies
    44. In the Company field enter "ibmco" and press Enter
    45. Click IBMCO
    46. On the Contacts tab view/verify the rows/values
    47. *The Phone and E-mail values for Accounts Payable did not
    populate as expected
    48. Go To Default Information
    49. Go To Profile | Default Information
    50. In the Default Insert Site | Select Value | click BEDFORD
    51. Click OK
    52. In the Company field enter "ibmco" and press Enter
    53. Click IBMCO
    54. On the Contacts tab view/verify the rows/values
    RESULT
    There is not a row for Accounts Payable
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    All updated Contact information from the Company Master record
    should be populated
