APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After using SMIT to change Log File Formatting option
    of the hacmp.out log to high or low, Start Cluster
    Services will get a coredump of clstrmgr and node halt.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Start cluster gets core dump after modifying the log file
    parameters to Html(HIGH) or Html(LOW) using following smit menu.
    Smitty hacmp -> Change/Show PowerHA SystemMirror Log File
    Parameters
    [Entry Fields]
    Node Name
    Formatting options for hacmp.out Html(High)
    Same can be performed using clmgr command
    /usr/es/sbin/cluster/utilities/clchparam -n'nodename'
    VERBOSE_LOGGING='high" DEBUG_LEVEL="Html2"
    

Problem conclusion

  • Close ofstream object once after its use to avoid clstrmgr core
    dump
