IJ25999: UNABLE TO SEND MAIL AFTER UPGRADING TO AIX 7.2 TL4 SP2 APPLIES TO AIX 7200-04

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• mail, using sendmail, does not work after upgrading to
  AIX
  7.2 TL4 SP2 from AIX 7.2 TL4 SP1 as /etc/mail/submit.cf
  is
  getting overwritten during the upgrade.
  

Local fix

• If there is back up copy of /etc/mail/submit.cf from
  before the upgrade, restore it after the upgrade.
