IJ25347: CHANGING THE DEFAULT FONT SIZE IN LONG DESCRIPTION FIELDS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Changing the default size in Long Description fields was
  possible to be achieved by adding a class in the ?extended.css?
  file. After installing IFIX017, these changes in the
  ?extended.css? are ignored for an environment with Oracle
  database, skin iot18, and it is not possible anymore to set a
  different default size.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1.	Open Maximo
  system with Chrome
  2.	Open the Purchase Order
  application
  3.	Search a PO with status ?WAPPR? and open
  it
  4.	Click on <Long Description> button next to the
  Description field
  5.	Press F12 key to open the development
  tools
  6.	Enter some text in the long description field, it is
  displayed with the size ?xx-small?
  7.	In the chrome development
  tool, in the tab ?Sources? expand folders
  webclient>skins>skins-20200519-1609/iot18>css and open with
  double click mouse the file ?extended.css?
  8.	At the end of
  the file insert:
  #dijitEditorBody {
   font-size: 20px }
  9.	The
  Size of the text in the Long Description field remains
  ?xx-small?, while for other situations (version, skin,
  database) it changes to ?medium?
  
  RESULT:
  The default font size
  cannot be changed
  
  EXPECTED RESULT:
  The default font size for
  long description fields can be changed no matter the skin,
  database or browser.

Local fix

• Do the same change in the file rte.css
