Error description

  • Checksum offloaded IEEE802.3 ethernet frames are handled
    wrongly in the transmit direction
    

Local fix

  • Disable checksum offloading for virtual ethernet adapters
    that use IEEE802.3 ethernet frames
    

Problem summary

  • When using IEEE802.3 interface on a Virtual Ethernet
    Adapter(VEA), checksum offload and native largesend is not
    handled. The packets with checksum offload and largesend(PLSO
    not supported platform) enabled may be dropped.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Code added in VEA to handle checksum offload and largesend
    in IEEE802.3 packets
