Error description

  • Problem type:

    Problem Title:
    Some User Profile 'Group Details' Getting Cleared.
    
    Symptom/Description:
    The groups line items in the Profile tab of copied employee
    records are removed when there is the security group = Default
    Security Group sets in the Password Setup record.
    
    Steps to Reproduce (If Any):
    
    1)    Login to TRIRIGA.
    
    2)    Open an Employee record (Active User status) with multiple
    security groups and licenses. ==> open existing employee record.
    
    3)    Click More menu and click Copy.
    
    4)    Close the employee record opened in step 2 and open the
    newly copied record. (Emp record Copy 1)
    
    5)    Enter a new user id for the copied record and select
    Initial Password reset and Active user option. Notice the Group
    and License lines were copied from the user record opened in
    step 2.
    
    6)    Activate the copied record 1.
    
    7)    Once the copied record 1 has moved to Active User
    status, open the copied record 1.
    
    8)    Click More menu and click Copy.
    
    9)    Close the employee record opened ins step 7 and open the
    newly copied record. (Emp record Copy 2
    
    10) Enter a new user id for the copied record and select Initial
    Password reset and Active user option.  Notice the Group and
    License lines were copied from the user record opened in step
    7.
    
    11) Activate the copied record 2.
    
    12) Once the copied record 2 has moved to Active User status,
    log out of TRIRIGA.
    
    13) Login with user id of the copied record 2
    
    14) After user 2 login, a password reset form is displayed.
    
    15) Enter the current password, new password and confirmation
    password. ==> Enter the current password as "1Password*" and new
    password as "Welcome@ibm1"
    
    16) Click "Change My Password" button in the password change
    form.
    
    17) Click Change My Password button.
    
    18) Logout as user 2==> logout jagan3
    
    19) Login as the user in step 1.
    
    20) Open the copied record 2.
    
    21) Click Profile tab. Issue: All the Group line items that were
    there before (verified in step #?10) is gone.  Note that Group
    Details getting cleared issue can be replicated anytime and is
    not an overnight issue as initially reported by client. ==> L2
    replicated part of the issue(not all the groups are cleared
    instead some of the groups are removed in the profile tab
    ==>Group details)
    
    Expected fix in version:
    Reported in 3Q2019. We are still working on the target date of
    the release.

Problem summary

  • When copying an employee that has one of the security groups as
    TRIRIGA Password Change (the Default Security Group set in the
    Password Setup record), the security groups are no longer
    cleared on the new copied Employee record. This issue has been
    resolved in our next major release version, which is tentatively
    planned for 1H 2020.
