Error description

  • After ptf UI65179 installed the delete shared queue fucntion
now works but disaply does not refresh correctly.

Local fix

  • n/a

Problem summary

  • Using CICS Explorer on Windows with the shared TS Queues view
displayed, if there are several shared TS Queues and one has
been deleted, the display is not updated to correctly reflect
which TS Queues have been deleted with the subsequent TS Queues
showing the wrong names. It will only work if you use the down
arrow to move down to the next TS Queue.
    .
The reason is that CICS Explorer first updates the current row
before deleting it. On Windows the message queue is processed
in a different order than other platforms, therefore causing the
    issue to be seen.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been updated to check whether the action being
performed is an add, a remove or an update. If the action is
add or remove then it will proceed to perform that action
without updating the existing record first. The TS Queues view
will now display the correct TS Queues.
    .
This fix will be made available in Version 5.5.0.5 of the CICS
    Explorer.
