Error description

• The CICS Explorer Interdependency Analyzer plugin experiences
  the following NPE when creating a Command Flow Report.
  java.lang.NullPointerException
  at com.ibm.cics.ia.model.Task.getCommands(Task.java:96)
  

Local fix

Problem summary

•  User is attempting to produce a command flow
  report using the CICS Interdependency Analyzer plug-in.
  A null pointer exception is thrown because of a failure to fetch
  and process data from the CIU_CMDFLOW_DATA DB2 table. Unexpected
  data in the CMD_TCB_CPUTIME column, causes DBFUNC to throw a
  NumberFormatException and return an empty data object.
  

Problem conclusion

•  The CICS Interdependency Analyzer plug-in is
  modified to handle the NumberFormatException returned by DBFUNC
  when unexpected data is encountered in column
  CMD_TCB_CPUTIME_BEFORE of the CIU_CMDFLOW_DATA table.
  This fix will be made available in Version 5.3.0.11 and 5.5.0.2
  of the CICS Interdependency Analyzer plug-in for CICS Explorer
