IJ17312: IN LIST TAB, WHEN VALUES FROM A COLUMN ARE CONDITIONALLY HIDDEN, A DATA MISALIGNMENT WILL OCCUR

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In any application, if column data are conditionally hidden,
  the next column data moves in the blank spaces. A misalignment
  will occur. The reproduction steps are based on the Purchase
  Orders application and the "Total cost" field.
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  Prerequisites steps:
  Create a sigoption that will hide Total Cost values for all
  Purchase Orders except one.
  1. Go to Administration-Conditional Expression Manager
  2. Create condition 1001
        Type: Expression
        Expression: ponum='1000'
  3. Go to System Configuration - Platform Configuration -
  Application Designer
  4. Bring up PO application
  5. Select Action - Add/Modify Signature Options
  6. Add new Option Hide
  7. In the List tab, right click on the Total Cost Column
  8. Click Properties
  9. Move to Advanced tab
  10. Click on Configure Conditional Properties
         Signature Option: Hide
         Security Group: MAXADMIN
         Condition: 1001
         Condition is true: display=true
         Condition is false: display=false
  11. Save
  12. Go to Security - Security Groups
  13. Bring up MAXADMIN group
  14. Go to Applications tab
  15. Bring up Purchase Orders
  16. Grant access to Hide option
  Actual Steps:
  1. Login with Maxadmin
  2. Go to Purchasing-Purchase Orders
  3. Hit Enter
  RESULT:
  Site BEDFORD will be displayed under the Total Cost column
  instead of the hidden cost data. The screen looks ok only for
  PO 1000 where the cost is not hidden.
