Error description
PROBLEM: When a material transfer is made between storerooms that are in different organizations, the exchange rate is not applied correctly. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1) Go to Organizations application and bring up EAGLENA More Actions > Inventory. Options > Inventory Costs Site BEDFORD under Issue Cost select FIFO Cost So pick up EAGLEUK More Actions > Inventory. Options > Inventory Costs Site WOKING under Issue Cost select Average Cost 2) Go to Exchange Rates application and make sure that for each of the organizations (EAGLENA and EAGLEUK) there is a created exchange rate. From Currency: GBP To currency: USD Rate: 2.00 From Currency: USD To currency: GBP Rate: 0.50 3) Make sure WOKING site has a valid financial period and a storeroom 4) Go to Item Master application and create a new item add this item to Central Storeroom (Bedford site) and the Woking site storeroom for both storerooms add Balance: 10 Cost: 10 5) Go to Inventory Usage application and create new Usage Type: TRANSFER From Storeroom: CENTRAL New Row Add item created above Quantity 1 Under Transfer Details To Site: WOKING To Storeroom: Woking's storeroom Save 6) Change Usage to Shipped status 7) In the any database tools run the follow: SELECT * FROM MATRECTRANS WHERE ITEMNUM = 'item_created_above' CURRENCYUNITCOST and CURRENCYLINECOST will have 10 8) In the Default Information change your profile: Default Insert Site: WOKING 9) Go to Shipment Receiving application and bring up the usage record created above Under Shipment Receipts, click on Select Shipped Items select the item OK Save RESULTS: After run the query SELECT * FROM MATRECTRANS WHERE ITEMNUM = 'item_created_above' the CURRENCYUNITCOST and CURRENCYLINECOST columns still remain with 10 where Issuetype = SHIPRECEIPT The exchange rate has not been applied EXPECTED RESULTS: The exchange rate should be applied on these fields. NOTE: If you do the same test but now creating an usage record from WOKING site and then receiving this shipment in the BEDFORD site, the exchange rate works.
