APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If a stanza in an attribute file contains a filename
    with a space in it, the AFnxtrec function will not be
    able to properly process it. For example:

    /dir1/dir2/file name:
     options=one,two,three

    It will not process it like that, nor if the file
    name is in quotes ("file name"), or if the space has a
    backslash in front of it (file\ name).

Local fix

Problem summary

  • PowerSC functions may fail if stanzas in
    /etc/security/rtc/rtcd.conf contain file names with spaces.

Problem conclusion

  • An alternative attribute file read function was implemented for
    PowerSC's use.
