IJ11019: SAP HANA AGENT IS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE DATA FROM HANA DB

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer has a multi tenant SAP Hana database and is unable to
  get details for tenant databases.
  Tenant database name is the same as system ID
  Detailed Recreation Procedure:
  1. Execute query in Hana studio : SELECT B.SYSTEM_ID as SID,
  A.DATABASE_NAME as DATABASE_NAME,
     B.HOST as HOST FROM m_database B, m_databases A
  A.DATABASE_NAME |= B.DATABASE_NAME and
     B.SYSTEM_ID |= A.DATABASE_NAME.  Query should be executed in
  a multi tenant Hana system with
     tenant database name same as SID.
  2. Output of query does not list out tenant databases.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• SAP HANA Datbaase Agent is unable to discover the tenant
  databases in case the tenant and SID both are same.
  

Problem conclusion

• SAP HANA Database Agent does not discover the teanant database
  if they share the same name as of SID of HANA Database.
  

Temporary fix

• L3 provided a testfix to customer which has resolved the issue
  and it will be added in future release of Hana Agent
