APAR status

Error description

  • NFS mount may fail but is not shown and a more toplevel
directory is actually is mounted. When that happens,
if you 'cd' into this directory and do a 'ls -l'
it will go into an infinite loop without the proper data
being shown.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • NFS4 mount of a directory having inode number longer
than 32bits can appear to succeed while actually not
being mounted as expected. Operations in the mount
point would give unexpected results.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Made changes to handle long inums in all cases.
