APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A user has a custom plug-in which expects to set the truststore
and keystore system properties. The https connection defaults
may get overwritten when a host connection is made.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • A custom-written CICS Explorer plug-in establishes its own https
connection to a back end server with a certificate which is not
known to the CICS Explorer or any of the CICS Tools plug-ins.
When connecting with a DA connection that has the SSL flag set,
the DA plug-in invokes a CICS Explorer method that sets the
HTTPS default SSL socket factory and hostname verifier with
    defaults supplied by CICS Explorer.

Problem conclusion

  • This method has been updated so that the SSL socket factory and
hostname verifier are set for the specific connection rather
    than using the default.
    .
This fix will be made available in Version 5.3.0.5 of the CICS
Deployment Assistant plug-in for CICS Explorer.
