IJ04822: SAR -S CAN CORE DUMP IF NUMBER OF DISKS HAS CHANGED APPLIES TO AIX 6100-09

Error description

  • Using sar to display data from a file, while using
the '-s' flag  to specify a start time, can cause it to
core dump. This happens if the number of disks on the
 system increased in the time before the start time that
is specified.

is changed before the start time is specified.

  • Code changes to add configuration change check so that it does
not dump core when configuration is changed before the start
time is specified.
