IJ02957: POWERHA: FALSE VERIFICATION ERROR FOR MISSING INTERFACE CONFIG

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Even though the interface label and address are
  defined in the PowerHA and AIX ODMs, verification
  returns a false error. This error can occur at
  any time.
  
  ERROR: Interface <<iplabel>> (<<ipaddr>>) is not
   configured in AIX on node: <<nodename>>
   Please check to ensure the interface is properly
   defined to AIX. If the 'smitty chinet' and change
   network interface: <<en#>> to the above IP
   definition.
  

Local fix

• A possible workaround is to remove the odmcache directory
  /var/hacmp/odmcache/* and retry verification.

Problem conclusion

• Current logic of odmcache sometimes mistakenly takes local
  node name instead of the expected remote node name. Hence,
  /var/hacmp/odmcache directory would get corrupted for the
  remote node's odmcache data causing the clver checker to
  misleadingly complain about a non existent problem. Now, the
  logic has been modified to resolve this odmcache issue.
