IJ02835: DATABASE ERROR 1400 WHEN PERFORMING ESTIMATION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• For some records in the the CU Estimating (T&D) application,
  client receives the following error:
  
  "BMXAA4210E - Database error number 1400 has occurred. Invalid
  SQL queries are logged in the log file. Check the SQL query to
  identify the error."
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  1. GoTo --> Work Orders --> CU Estimating (T&D).
  2. Bring Estimate Request 5424 in SITE ONE site.
  3. Click the Perform Estimate in button bar. Receive the
  following error:
  BMXAA4210E - Database error number 1400 has occurred. Invalid
  SQL queries are logged in the log file. Check the SQL query to
  identify the error.
  
  Additional info:
   1. 7.6 OOB code now uses PLUSDESTDETAILTMP table to create the
  Cost Estimation lines,  and then copies it to PLUSDESTDETAIL
  table.
  
  Earlier in 7.5 it was PLUSDESTDETAIL table directly.
   2. The OOB code for this is in PlusDEstVersion class, method:
   copyValuesFromTemporaryEstimateTable().
   3. I see OOB issue in this code.
  
   a. The OOB code
  PlusDEstVersion.copyValuesFromTemporaryEstimateTable()
   is using sql query instead of mbosets and also the method is
  private.
   So it will not invoke any of the autoscripts, even if we
  define on
   PLUSDESTDETAIL object. Big
      drawback. We already have few autoscripts for this object.
   b. The OOB code
  PlusDEstVersion.copyValuesFromTemporaryEstimateTable()
   is deleting all the records from plusdestdetailtmp table, due
  to which
   it seems that no two persons will be able to do the CU
  Estimating at
   the same time.. Big drawback.
