Error description

  • It has been observed in some customer environments that
    Hostcontext can run out of available file handles due to code
    relating to nva.conf

    Repetitive messages similar to the following might be visible
    in /var/log/qradar.log when this issue is occurring:

    [hostcontext.hostcontext] [ProcessMonitor] java.io.IOException:
    error=24, Too many open files

Local fix

  • No workaround available.
    The file handle issue was partially addressed in APAR IV94782,
    but an outstanding issue causing the same behavior could still
    be present.
