IJ01955: UNABLE TO RESERVE MATERIAL IF CONDITION CODE ZERO BALANCE ITEM

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When enabled condition code for all the items but if the
    balance of the item is zero then we are not able to reserve the
    material in the work order. It is throwing error message while
    approving the work order.
    
    BMXAA4590E - Could not change Work Order 1201 status to COMP.
    BMXAA1893E - Please enter a valid lot.

    Reproduced the problem in 7.5.0.10-IFIX20171107-1026
    Reproduced 7.5.0.11-IFIX20171012-1111
    Reproduced 7.6.0.8-IFIX20171025-1353
    
    1. Go to Organisation-->Select EAGLENA-->Select Action -->
    Inventory Options-> Inventory Default
    
    Make sure "Automatically Create Usage Documents for new
    reservations" is CHECKED
    Negative Balances Options --> Make sure "Disallow negative
    balance" and "Allow negative available balances" are CHECKED.
    
    2.Go to Item Master --> create a new record "ABUDHABI" with Lot
    Type = NOLOT --> Associate 3 conditions codes
    
    i.e 11/32 Tread - 15/32 Tread and 9/16 Tread
    
    3. Make sure it's condition enabled and Change Status to ACTIVE
    and Click on Select Action "Add Item to Storeooms" ---> Select
    "CENTRAL" and press OK
    
    4. Change Issue Cost Type to FIFO and Default Bin = SHELF B and
    Press OK
    
    5. Go to Inventory and filter for "ABUDHABI" -->  Change the
    status to ACTIVE
    
    6. Go to Wotrack --> Create a new Record and fill in a random
    Location and Asset and click on Plans tab and click on
    Materials and click new row
    
    7. Select the item created in step 2 and change the quantity to
    4; Storeoom = CENTRAL, Condition Code = 9/16
    
    8. Save changed and click APPROVE - You will get the following
    error message:
