IJ01066: AFM: CANNOT DELETE FILES UNDER DIRECTORY .PTRASH

Error description

• Problem Description:
  In a Spectrum Scale AFM environment, an error message may
  be encountered when deleting a directory from the .ptrash
  directory, provided it is yet to be fully cached.
  
  Reported in:
  Spectrum Scale 4.2.3.2 on CentOS Linux 7
  
  Known Impact:
  If directory is deleted at the home site, it will be
  moved
  to the .ptrash directory. Deleting the directory from
  .ptrash
  fails if it is not yet cached.
  
  Error Message such as:
  [root@node1]# rm -rf file
  rm: cannot remove  file
  /gpfs/afm : Directory not empty
  
  Verification Steps:
  1. Create a Independent-writer/Read-only fileset.
  2. Create directory structure at home d1/d2/d3.
  3. stat d1 at cache.
  4. Delete d1 at home.
  5. d1 at cache will be moved to .ptrash, and cannot be
     deleted using rm command.
  

Local fix

• mmafmlocal rm -rf directory
  

Problem summary

• Deletion of directory is not allowed until it is
  fully cached to avoid missing deletes at home when
  directory is removed locally. If directory is
  deleted at home, it will be moved to .ptrash.
  Deleting the same directory from .ptrash fails if
  it is not cached (readdir is not performed).
  

Problem conclusion

• Check for local bit (gets set when dir is moved to
  .ptrash) and allow deletion of the directory from
  the .ptrash directory.                    423                 42
