Error description
This APAR is being written to provide information on IOCP levels available for some IBM Z z990 and z890 ( 2084 , 2086 ) CPCs, z9 ( 2094 , 2096 ) CPCs, z10 ( 2097 , 2098 ) CPCs, z11 ( 2817 , 2818 ) CPCs, z12 ( 2827 , 2828 ) CPCs, z13 and z13s ( 2964 , 2965 ) CPCs, z14 ( 3906 , 3907 ), z15 ( 8561 , 8562 ) CPCs, IBM z16 ( 3931 , 3932 ), and z17 ( 9175 ) CPCs. For information on prior CPCs, see information in APAR II02369. The purpose of this APAR is to provide a cross-reference for all levels and versions of IOCP so that customers and CE's can make some determinations as to which levels customer's use. The EC level of an IBM Z z990, z890, z9, z10, z11, z12, z13, z13s, z14, z15, IBM z16, or z17 CPC can be determined from the Hardware Management Console or Support Element by doing the following: 1. Open 'Task List' from the 'Views' area. 2. Open 'Change Management' from the 'Task List Work Area'. 3. Open 'Groups' from the 'Views' area. 4. Open the group that contains the CPC in which you are interested. 5. Select the CPC. 6. Open 'System Information' or 'CPC EC Details' in the 'Change Management' tasks area. For an IBM Z CPC, the IOCP version and release can be determined from the header lines of the IOCP reports. The stand-alone IOCP version and release can also be found in IOCP message ICP073I in an I/O Configuration Source file that was processed by stand-alone IOCP. The stand-alone IOCP version and release can also be determined from the Hardware Management Console or Support Element by doing the following (begin with step 7 for the Support Element console): 1. Open 'Task List' from the 'Views' area. 2. Open 'CPC Recovery' from the 'Task List Work Area'. 3. Open 'Groups' from the 'Views' area. 4. Open the group that contains the CPC you are interested in. 5. Select the CPC. 6. Open 'Single Object Operations' in the 'CPC Recovery' tasks area. 7. Open 'Task List' from the 'Views' area. 8. Open 'CPC Configuration' from the 'Task List Work Area'. 9. Open 'Groups' from the 'Views' area. 10. Open 'Images' from the 'Groups Work Area'. 11. Select the image to run stand-alone IOCP. 12. Open 'Input/Output (I/O) Configuration' in the 'CPC Configuration' tasks area. Continue with step 15. 13. Select 'Customize' from the 'Monitor the System' panel. 14. Select 'Input/output (I/O) configuration'. 15. Select 'View' pull-down. 16. Select 'Configuration program level'. The tables below show: - The various IOCP Levels. - The MVS, OS/390, or z/OS SYSMODs that contain those levels. - The EC number for the stand-alone IOCP version that is the equivalent of the MVS, OS/390, or z/OS SYSMOD. - The z/VM APAR number of the VM/CMS version that is the equivalent of the MVS, OS/390, or z/OS SYSMOD. - The VSE APAR number of the VSE version that is the equivalent of the MVS, OS/390, or z/OS SYSMOD. - The form number of the "IOCP User's Guide and Reference" appropriate for each level. **************************************************** * ICP Version of IOCP for: D/T2084, D/T2086, * * D/T2094, D/T2096, D/T2097, D/T2098, D/T2817, * * D/T2818, D/T2827, D/T2828, D/T2964, D/T2965, * * D/T3906, D/T3907, D/T3931, D/T3932, D/T8561, * * D/T8562, D/T9175 * **************************************************** z/OS VM / VSE V.R.M SYSMOD(S) S/A EC# - MACH APAR PUB ---------------------------------------------------------------- 1.1.0 HIO1104 SB10-7037-0 UA90009 J12560 - 2084 VM63252 VM DY45924 VSE 1.2.0 HIO1104 SB10-7037-1,2 UA90076 J13486 - 2084 VM63443 VM ,3 J13486 - 2086 DY46105 VSE 1.3.0 HIO1104 SB10-7037-4 UA90170 J99677 - 2094 VM63740 VM DY46271 VSE/ESA DY46272 z/VSE 1.4.0 HIO1104 SB10-7037-5 UA90250 J99677.333 - 2094 (1) VM63921 VM J99677.333 - 2096 (1) DY46459 VSE/ESA DY46460 z/VSE 2.1.0 HIO1104 SB10-7037-6 UA90380 F85906 - 2097 VM64302 VM G40965.145 - 2096 (2) DY46736 z/VSE 3.1 G40965.145 - 2094 (2) DY46737 z/VSE 4.1 2.2.0 HIO1104 SB10-7037-7 UA90399 N10970 - 2098 VM64474 VM N10970 - 2097 DY46867 z/VSE 3.1 G40965.210 - 2096 (3) DY46868 z/VSE 4.1 G40965.210 - 2094 (3) 3.1.0 HIO1104 SB10-7037-8 UA90553 N29802 - 2817 VM64799 VM DY47125 z/VSE 3.2.0 HIO1104 SB10-7037-9 UA61159 N48168 - 2818 VM64940 VM N48168 - 2817 DY47246 z/VSE 3.3.0 HIO1104 SB10-7037-10 UA90634 H09173 - 2827 VM65131 VM DY47404 z/VSE DY47406 z/VSE UA90641 (4) 4.1.2 HIO1104 SB10-7037-11 UA90663 H49564 - 2828 VM65278 VM H49564 - 2827 DY47476 z/VSE DY47477 z/VSE UA90665 (5) VM65421 VM UA90666 (6) VM65422 VM DY47493 z/VSE DY47494 z/VSE 5.1.1 HIO1104 SB10-7163-0 UA90773 N98775 - 2964 VM65568 VM DY47590 z/VSE UA90972 (7) 5.2.0 HIO1104 SB10-7163-1 UA90986 P00339 - 2965 VM65736 VM P00339 - 2964 DY47635 z/VSE 5.x DY47641 z/VSE 6.1 5.2.1 HIO1104 SB10-7163-2 UA91000 P00339.192 - 2965 (8) VM65817 VM P00339.192 - 2964 (8) DY47664 z/VSE 5.x DY47665 z/VSE 6.1 5.3.0 HIO1104 SB10-7172-0 UA91001 P00339.314 - 2965 (9) VM65880 VM P00339.314 - 2964 (9) 5.4.0 HIO1104 SB10-7172-0,1 UA91819 P42658.001 - 3907 (10) VM65939 VM P42658 - 3906 DY47686 z/VSE 5.2 DY47687 z/VSE 6.1 5.4.1 HIO1104 SB10-7172-2 UA97193 P41473 - 3907 VM66179 VM P41473 - 3906 DY47799 z/VSE 5.2 DY47800 z/VSE 6.1 DY47801 z/VSE 6.2 5.5.0 HIO1104 SB10-7172-3,4 UA99143 P46661 - 8562 VM66240 VM P46661 - 8561 DY47809 z/VSE 5.5.1 HIO1104 UJ04015 P46661.001 - 8562 (11) VM66461 VM P46661.001 - 8561 (11) DY47839 z/VSE P41473.001 - 3907 (12) P41473.001 - 3906 (12) 6.1.0 HIO1104 HIO1105 SB10-7177-0 UJ07914 UJ07913 P30763 - 3931 VM66549 z/VM (13) DY47850 z/VSE (13) 6.1.2 HIO1104 HIO1105 SB10-7177-1 UJ92391 UJ92392 P30763.002 - 3931 VM66629 z/VM P30763.002 - 3932 7.1.0 HIO1104 HIO1105 HIO1106 SB10-7183-0 UJ96824 UJ96823 UJ96822 P30924.001 - 9175 VM66741 z/VM 7.3 VM66827 z/VM 7.4 7.1.2 HIO1104 HIO1105 HIO1106 HIO1107 SB10-7183-0 UJ98624 UJ98623 UJ98622 UJ98621 P30924.007 - 9175 VM66898 z/VM 7.3 VM66899 z/VM 7.4 (1) These processors have standalone IOCP (1.4.0) at EC J99677 with LIC patch MCL333.
