Error description

  • Addt'l Search Keywords:
Some versions of Symantec's Norton AntiVirus (NAV) may report
the presence of a virus in the setup.exe file found on the QMF
for Windows Version 6 CD in the root directory. This report by
Norton AntiVirus has been classified as a false positive. There
is NO virus on setup.exe related to QMF for Windows Version 6.1.
The false positive virus detection occurs when Norton's virus
signature file is dated prior to July 7, 1999. To correct the
problem, update the virus signature file, using LiveUpdate, to
the version dated July 7, 1999 or later before installing QMF
for Windows. Please contact IBM Virus CERT (Virus@us.ibm.com).
