Error description

  • ENQ on QNAME SYSZSPI RNAME SERVICECALL may last for long
periods of time.  Problem occurs on HDS Hitachi Pilot processor
because calls to the service processor timeout.  ENQ's on
SYSZVARY PATH and SYSZIOS LPEP may also get hung as the holder
of the SYSZVARY PATH resource sometimes needs to ENQ on SYSZSPI
SERVICECALL, and the holder of the SYSZIOS LPEP resource some-
times needs to ENQ on SYSZVARY PATH.
  OS/390 commands that require SYSZSPI SERVICECALL (eg. certain
D M commands) may take a long time to complete and may result in
MSGIEE076I and MSGIEE148I with texts of:
IEE076I CHP(nn) NOT BROUGHT ONLINE, HARDWARE FAILURE
IEE148I CHP(nn) NOT RECONFIGURED - SERVICE PROCESSOR FAILURE
  Symptom records from ISNSVC will be found in logrec/logdata.
