Error description
This Info APAR is intended to clarify the relationship between the MAXBUFNO and DEFBUFNO parms within the Batchpipes product. An OUT OF RANGE message will be issued whenever specifying a MAXBUFNO value which is smaller than DEFBUFNO. A Reader's Comment Form has been submitted to change the definitions of these 2 parms within the Smartbatch System Management book. One other thing worth noting is that the BPxx SET command will process each parm individually, in the order provided via the command, and can lead to this message if at any point the above rule is broken. If you see this message, perform the 'BPxx DISPLAY' command and check the setting in the ASFPBPxx Parmlib member, or what you are specifying in the SET command. Currently RANGE is defined to be 1-255 for these 2 parms, but this is not entirely true, since there is a connection between these 2 parms.
