OPC/ESA non-MVS TRACKER AGENTS are packaged as orderable
features of the OPC/ESA primary FMID (The component known as
the TRACKER).  These TRACKER AGENTS are SMP/E installed on MVS
then are downloaded to the target machines and installed there
using the appropriate tool for that platform.

This packaging technique means that each TRACKER AGENT is
represented in SMP/E by a single file.  Initially, that file is
an "INSTALL IMAGE" in the correct format for the intended target
machine.  However, when TRACKER AGENT PTFs are SMP/E applied,
the original file (the INSTALL IMAGE) is replaced by the PTF
(or UPDATE image).

Thus once maintenance has been applied, it is impossible to
INSTALL the TRACKER AGENT on its intended platform because there
is no longer an INSTALL IMAGE available on the MVS system.
.
To avoid this problem, users should keep a copy of base level
(as shipped) TRACKER AGENT files (EQQTXxxx) outside of SMP/E.
When the TRACKER AGENTS are SMP/E installed, the EQQTXxxx files
will be placed into the OPC/ESA DLIB.  A copy of the DLIB file
should be made and kept in a "safe place".   Then whenever
installing the TRACKER AGENT on a new machine, that saved file
should be first downloaded to the target machine and installed,
then the current SMP/E version of the same file should be
downloaded and applied as maintenance according to the DOC
updates listed in APAR PN84614.

OPC/ESA development is addressing this packaging issue, and when
a solution is available, the information listed here will be
updated to include that official solution.
.
In the meantime, customers who have irretrievably lost their
TRACKER AGENT "INSTALL IMAGES" can contact the IBM support
structure and a replacement image will be provided.
