Error description
Lotus 1-2-3/M, in MVS and VM, supports printers via printer definitions in the "SET" file. For complete information regarding the "SET" file, and printer definitions, see "System Administration Guide" (SH20-7265-1). . "L123LPT" printer definitions support any printer that will accept "line print". "Line print" is text-only printing that has only simple ASCII print control. There is no font control. . The list of valid "DEVICE=" values, for "L123AFP" printer definitions, are: 3800 3812 3816 3820 3825 3827 3835 4028 3900 . Please note that "4028" support requires the PTF for APAR PN47340. . If a printer is not in this list, it often can still be used by choosing the value for a similiar printer that is listed above. If a similiar printer can not be determined, try each value in turn to see if one is satisfactory. The listed printers are all 240pel printers, except the 4028 which is a 300pel printer. . As an example, customers have reported satisfactory results by using "DEVICE=4028" to print on a 3916 printer. The 4028 is the officially support printer, so if any problems occur with the 3916, they must be reproducible on the 4028 where any correction will done. .
