*************** CONTINUATION OF II07438 ***************** . See also II08212 II07438 II07757 II08264 II08762 II09608 II10937 This info APAR lists known third-party (OEM) problems in DFP data management components: non-VSAM o/c/eov, sequential access methods, linkage editor, and PDSE. Where possible, OEM fix numbers are listed. It is by no means a complete list. ABENDA78-18 AREA TO BE FREEMAINED WAS PAGE FIXED Module IEWFETCH issues a freemain for an area of storage that was page fixed. This occurs because TLMS by Computer Associates issues several page fixes without the corresponding page frees. This problem is fixed by T5XD394 and TDXD399. . HANG DURING IDCAMS PROCESSING AND A BMC MSG INDICATING ABEND IN OBTAIN. The problem was caused by BMC DATAPACKER OS when the data set was allocated on the cylinder of a 3390-3. An old I/O module was responsible and the vendor provided a zap to correct the problem. . ABEND378 RC24 in BLSQFREE+'34' Storage is being freed invalidly out of IFG019RA +'7F6' due to invalid pointers in the DEB. CA's VSAM Transparency 2.1 product (DBVT) is using the protected DCB. The fix number is G022213. . MSGIEC704A NOT ISSUED AFTER FOLLOWING GUIDELINES IN II06795. OY47798 added support for the use of 3490E 36-track tapes to be used as scratch tapes on 18-track 3480 devices. II06795 describes guidelines for implementing this support. CA-TLMS customers in this position should make sure the following APARs are installed. GO27018 - Hook H93A4H2 - support for IFG0194K at UY93456. This information is applicable to CA-TLMS version 5.3 genlevel 9108TL530. SPSS = Statistical Package for Social Science MIGM16KT,SPSS41,330,DA, ,READ ,WRNG.LEN.RECORD, 000000A1000A0D,BSAM Contact SPSS OEM vendor for fix. . HANG IN IGG019AR SVC01 IGG019AR issues svc01 and goes into a wait. ABEND-AID error message: CCAASNP05 - CCASNAP DCB NOT OPEN AT THE TIME THAT CSATODP STOPS UPDATING. The ABEND-AID PTF number is CC12081. . ABEND0C4 IECVEXCP+x'E34'-DCB ADDR POINTS TO UNAVAILABLE STORAGE Program "SELCOPY" which was entered via LINK macro, opened a file using a DCB embedded in the program and exited without closing the DCB. CSV then called FETCH to freemain the program storage but the DCB was no longer available, causing a program check in EXCP. The problem was with SELCOPY and the vendor COMPUTE (Bridgend)Ltd provided the following ZAP #3: When a DOS type /* card is included at the end of SELCOPY's control cards on SYSIN, and SYSIN is a file rather than a DD * stream, SELCOPY treates the /* as a logical EOF, but fails to close SYSIN, which can result in an 0C4 or 0C3 abend at task termination when the operating system attempts an automatic close on SYSIN. The ZAP #3 is: SELCOPY+012BE4 VER=4780,5082 REP=4780,5076 ABEND0C6 IFG0552B An ABEND0C6 in IFG0552B at UW03774 occurred after an MSGIECTMS3 saying the tape volume is not scratch. Contact CA-1 for the fix. 5/3/94 5/5/94 Datasets with the HLQs of IVPSMS and IVPSMS1 are treated differently by each of two MVS lpars. Resolution: Apply TA1234B fix for OEM CA-ACF2. x Hang in IEBGENER processing of concatenating 2 empty data sets. Hang is caused by a wait issued by IGG019BB. Problem is caused by OEM Product Performance Solutions by Softworks. . ABEND0F4 in IGWBIEX1: ABEND0F4 occurred in IGWBIEX1 (HDP3330) at offset '8C4' with directory I/O error RSN150BC008 attempting to read the first 5 PDSE pages from DASD during PDSE connect. The IOSB pointed to by IGWBIEX1 autodata shows incorrect length with a residual count of 'F00' and indicates the physical blksize is 256 bytes and this is not a 4096 byte PDSE record. Found the VOLSER & TTR of format1 DSCB in the PDSE token (VSGT) and LISTVTOC shows "I" under SMS.IND (system-managed storage attributes) indicating DS1PDSE is set in the data set associated with DSCB field C-H-R converted from TTR. LISTVTOC indicates this data set has a creation date of 1985.294 that was prior to the first DFP release of PDSE's, therefore the DS1PDSE bit has been overlayed. Customer is using OEM products from "FDR" and "Computer Associates" and we do not know what program overlayed the DS1PDSE. As described in DFP PDSE info apar II04480, the format1 DSCB at offset X'4E' is a RESERVED field. Since PDSE's must reside on system-managed volumes, LISTVTOC also shows "S" under SMS.IND and the format1 DSCB offset X'4E' equals X'88' when DS1PDSE is set. The data set was restored to non-PDSE and system-managed via SPZAP of offset X'4E' to X'80'. 5/5/94 - 566528462 ABEND212 in DSR0015(owned by STOPX37) Contact STOPX37 for the fix MSGWER268A received while executing EDGRPTD. Contact SYNCSORT for EW3703 for releases 3.4 and 3.5 only. ABEND378 RC12C MSGIGD300I IN MOD IGDZILLA MSGIGD080I ACF2 refresh of SAF records clears the getmained area . Incorrout using DISP=MOD When OPEN DISP=MOD, records were being appended to the end of the extent rather than after the EOF mark. Contact SYNCSORT for EW3390 for Rel 3.3 or for Rel 3.4 prior to the 3.4E/TPF4 level only. 5/18/94 . MSGIEW4007 - DIRECTORY ENTRY IS INVALID FOR A LOAD MODULE - This message can be issued if DELTA IMS or LOCAL COPY PLUS for IMS is being used. Zaps are available, if these products are being used, from BMC. BMC problem tracking number for DELTA IMS is # 162409. Tracking number for LOCAL COPY PLUS for IMS is # 207582. . MSGIEW2900T E913 RC 4D2B2900 6604B000 on IEBCOPY of Load Library PDS to PSDE or when Binding module : RSN4D2B2900 This can happen when an ESD label (LR) is pointing to another label or null section. A label must point to a CSECT (SD) This is a problem with the module source or compiler that is used. This is usually discovered when binding an old linkedit module with the Program Management Binder. Can be OEM or user application. The ESD will need to be corrected in the source or compiler. . ABEND106-0E Reason 20 - Error Converting TTR - could be issued if PDSMAN is active. To confirm, deactivate PDSMAN and rerun the job. . MSGIKJ58207I - 'Unable to RENAME dataset OLDDSN'+ RENAME ERROR CODE 8 Caused by OEM product POOLDASD not releasing the ENQ on the TIOT. Fix is PD941302 . MSGIEC135A after MSGIEC501A and using oem security package ACF2. IEC.TAPERING needs to be defined to the security product. Using the SAFPROT define CLASSES(FACILITY),include in SAFMAPS a pointer for FACILITY to a resource, (IE: XXX). Within RESDIR. Within RESDIR, make the resource XXX resident. Define the key for IEC.TAPERING to allow the read. EXAMPLE: sysid / SAFPROT.LOC CLASSES(FACILITY) ......... sysid / SAFMAPS MAPS(XXX/FACILITY .......) sysid / RESDIR TYPES(R-XXX .........) $KEY(IEC.TAPERING) TYPE(XXX) UID(*) ALLOW . A compile of the rules are required or restart of the security software, normally known as an IPL. . IEC999I (msgIEC999I) IFG0196W ABEND0C4 RC10 in LLA during ipl ABEND0C4 was actually occurring in IFG019RD + x'1D4' where we try to restore the regs to the original values. Problem was with OEM tape management system called ZARA from ALTAI. Installation instructions were "REINSTALL US EVERYTIME THAT YOU CHANGE ANYTHING" which was not followed. . ABEND0C4 IGC00020 CLOSING A VTAM ACB An ABEND0C4 in IGC00020 + x'2E6' on instruction 910FB000 is received when testing a non-existant DEB in reg11. Problem was caused and fixed by OEM vendor. 'SWITCH' fix 4.0.67 . IOS000I IEC512I TAPE LIBRARY NOT HANDLING UNINITIALIZED 3490E Uninitialized 3490E carts were not getting relabeled. CA provided fix # 2301528. . IEC148I (msgIEC148I) ABEND713 RC04 IFG0196Q Abend713-04 is received when concatenating input sequential data sets using IEBGENER. The problem is being temporally bypassed by TLMSII who suggested changing the following parms to TLMSII: . DBLDRIVE=NO to DBLDRIVE=YES DBLTIME=000000 to DBLTIME=000100 Until a fix is available from IBM for Apar OW03591 and OW03526. . ABEND50D RC08 DB2/COBOL program writes to an existing sequential file with DISP=MOD. When the sequential file reaches 16 extents on the DASD volume, Stop-X37, intercepts the B-37 abend and modifies the file to be multi-volume. The DB2/COBOL program continues to execute and experiences the abend50D-08 when trying to close the file. Essential Software was issuing a second OPEN J for the same exact ACB, which caused an exclusive enqueue on the TIOT, resulting in the ABEND50D-08. Essential Software provided the following zap ID: X3735P54 with a co-req of X3735P44 for Stop-X37 release 3.5.2 . FSC0212 0212 have been caused by BMC CopyPlus for DB2, PDSFAST & RADAR WSC Flash 9408 G023361 explains how to find the application in error. . ABEND413 RC0C running ABARS ABACKUP on the D file that spans more than 1 tape volume. The problem was caused by OEM vendor that had hooks in EOV module IFG0552B. Vendor was CA, the fix was TMD6999. If customers are experiencing this problem scenario, they should contact CA for the latest fix. See also OY63369 and II07979. . HSM RECALL intermittently fails with: MSGARC0003I ARCRSTR1 TASK ABENDED, CODE 80FCF000 IN MODULE UNKNOWN, OFFSET 0000, STORAGE LOCATION 80FF3BB8 IEAVESVC abends after an SVC CF (SVC207 x'SVCCF') from the patch area of IFG0194F. CA's TMS was not properly initialized therefore MVS did not know about the svc. This failure can occur for other tape jobs, not just HSM. If this problem is encountered, reinitialize CA's TMS. . IEC029I (msgIEC029I) ABEND937 RC30 IFG0554E ABEND937-30 occurred on concatenation of the 2nd data set member using IEBGENER with the RACF bit on. The problem was with CA's security package. Inconsistent RACROUTE return codes were being passed back to OPEN from the SAF router. CA provided customer with a fix which resolved the problem. The CA fix number is TA1583B. . Nonterminating LOOP with SYSIN DD DUMMY Jobs were looping in ICVDSD03 at offset x'F2A' on TAPE input & DASD output with SYSIN DD DUMMY. The jobs could not cancel and had to be forced to terminate the loop. The problem was caused by an OBTAIN being issued from PWLFDSN, csect of LMOD MZ1CSPZP which is part of product CHANGE ACTION, put out by MAZDA Corp. . ABEND0C4 in IEWBIND modules ( IEWBXISI ) when using Computer Associates LIBRARIAN product with IBM BINDER product 5695DF108 Fixes include GO32515 - GO27658 MSA 08/12/94 * MSGIEW2503S issued from modules produced on systems using CA-OPTIMIZER. IF AMBLIST LISTOBJ is issued against the same module an ABEND0C4 occurs. CA Fixes GO32991 and CO94791 AER 8/24/94 . SMFTYPE42 (SMF42) SUBTYPE6 S42JDRSD INVALID CENTURY FIELD Customer was seeing invalid S42JDRSD "date" record fields in the SMF TYPE 42 SUBTYPE 6. The problem was caused by OEM scheduling package, CA7, who uses a reserved bit in the JCTRDTON of the JMR to identify jobs that it has submitted. The alteration of JCTRDTON by CA7 would normally cause the century field to be incorrect in all SMF records produced after the job has been processed by the INTRDR. CA7 provided fix # S3315. * ABEND806 RC2C RSN2704043E for PDSE ABEND806 RC08 IO ERROR on directory of PDS for a BLDL request This occurs while running with STK ICEBERG Fix: R01.00.06 CFT912 has fixed both errors. MSA 8/23/94 * MSGWER999A RC021W from SYNCSORT Job that uses the same DCB for OUTPUT and then INPUT could get MSGWER999A RC021W from SYNCSORT. This is caused by an OPEN J (OPENJ) for the INPUT DCB that modifies the JFCBVOLS and does NOT update the JFCBNVOL. This happens after OY66883 or OW00142 or OW00361 (depending on the DFP release) because we were previously recalculating the JFCBNVOL in error. Contact SYNCSORT for EW4499 for Rel3.4 or Rel3.5 prior to the 3.5E/TPF4A level. 08/22/94 JBV/RHK . WILD BRANCH INTO ISTOCCO (VTAM) FROM IFG019RA Customer running HSM and FEOV was issued from ARCMSGS. Trace entry showed SVC DD to ACF2 from IFG019RA. The next entry was a return back to ACF2 (ACF9E9RA+X'100) and then the wild branch to ISTOCCO. Problem attributed to Legent's tape management package EPIC/MVS. For externally managed datasets, EDMs, EPIC was returning to the OPEN path vs EOV. This caused confusion in the ACF2 intercepts and thus the loop. (Fix number was not available) JBV 08/29/94 . MSGIOS000I COMMAND REJECT on a Locate Record X'47' Locate Record was being built by OEM product M204 with an invalid data area containing 1 in bit 3 Byte 0. Fix is EW055 from vendor. LAB 09/20/94 . MSGIEC145I ABEND413 RC34 WITH VOLREF BMC utility job does image copy with 16 steps using referback processing. When it comes to the 16th step, IEC145I 413-34 is received with a volser specified. BMC PTF # is P222617. An additional symptom of this problem is msgIEF245I.
