Error description

  • This APAR is being written to document some of the common
problems/concerns of PMF users. The following notes apply to
component ID 566530701, FMID HAU1103, Print Management
Facilities. All PMF users who are installing or doing a
maintenance upgrade should read this information.

NOTES:
***************************************************************
1. PMF maintenance is NOT upgraded with an IPO, PDO, SERVERPAC
or SYSTEMPAC.  Certain post install jobs *MUST* be run
manually.  They are DZJRFVAP for VSAPL users and DZJRFAP2 for
APL2 and APL2/AE users.
2. Before installing PMF or applying maintenance, please read
and follow the instructions in PSP bucket Upgrade APA103 & Sub-
set HAU1103, II02003, OY12274, OY13764, OY22635, UY90223 and
UY20749.
3. DO NOT INSTALL UY90223 under ANY circumstances!
4. PMF PTF UY90224 should be RECEIVED and ACCEPTED and any
later PTFs should be APPLIED before running the reformatting
jobs. If the maintenance is installed correctly, you will see
V1.136 on the first PMF panel and UNBOUNDED/BOUNDED instead of
3800M3 as the device type in Font Management.
5. 2/25/98 Current release of GDDM is 3.2.0.  You must apply
           PN89064/UN96571 to VSAPL in order to run with the
           current release of GDDM.  VSAPL must be relinked
           before PMF will come up.
