Error description
Closing codes are RETAIN specific and included in the RETAIN manual Software Support Facility Reference (ZZ25-6312). CAN (I) The record was cancelled, probably because it should never have been created or a customer requested that the record be cancelled. DOC (V) The problem was caused by an error in an IBM publication. DUA (I) The record was closed as a duplicate of another record that either:: - Had been closed for more than 10 days - Has a closing code other than PER, PRS, DOC, UR1 or UR3 DUB (I) The record was closed as a duplicate of another record that both: - Had been closed for 10 days or fewer - Has a closing code of PER, PRS, DOC, UR1 or UR3 DUU (I) The record was closed as a duplicate of an open record. FIN (I) Fixed IF next. There is a deficiency that we currently plan to fix if there is another release. This is not a commitment, but expresses our intention. 'Next Release' is not defined. MCH (I) The problem was caused by a hardware or microcode failure. OEM (V) IBM code is being changed in order to accommodate an OEM Vendor's code. OEM is used when IBM chooses to change IBM code that does not work properly with the Vendor's code. IBM code is in error. PER (V) A programming error was found and will be corrected in a future release. PRS (V) A programming error was found but will not be corrected. It is a permanent restriction. REQ (I) The suggestion proposed by the customer has been accepted as a requirement for the product. REQ meaning we have received a customer requirement is a replacement for SUG meaning we have received a customer suggestion. Both codes are available but some customers have a negative reaction to SUG. RET (I) The record was returned to the person who created it for more information. SUG (I) The record does not describe a programming error but recommends a change to the code. URx The change team either could not reproduce the problem or determined that the problem has already been corrected. "x" can be: 1.
