This APAR documents changes to the DB2 Administration Guide Volume II which did not make the GA R230 Pubs. 5740xyr00 sc26-4374-02 ac26437402 This APAR is a continuation of APAR II07119. ================================================================ Book Title: DB2 Administration Guide, Vol II (SC26-4374-02) Page Number: 6-160 Change Description: Chapter 6-6, "BSDS Recovery," modify the first paragraph and subordinate bulleted items to read: If DB2 is operating in dual BSDS mode and one BSDS becomes damaged, DB2 is forced into single BSDS mode and continues to operate. However, it is advisable to return the environ- ment to dual BSDS mode. This requires terminating DB2 tem- porarily. Follow these steps: 1. Terminate DB2 to deallocate the failing BSDS. 2. Restart DB2, and using access method services, rename or delete the damaged BSDS and define a new BSDS with the same name as the failing BSDS. Control statements can be found in job DSNTIJIN. 3.
