Error description
The Spreadsheet Connection ("LSC") facility of Lotus 1-2-3/M ("L123M"), IBM product number 5713AGL ("5713AGL00"), must be installed in a specific manner in order to be used with Lotus Development Corporation's ("LDC") version 3.4 of 1-2-3 for the PC. If it is not, a "protection exception" will occur when L123M's "LSC" is invoked within PC-123 version 3.4. . L123M's LSC for version 3.1 of LDC's 1-2-3 for the PC can be installed and used under version 3.4 of LDC's 1-2-3 for the PC by following the steps outlined below. . NOTE: the user MUST update the system directory BEFORE attempting to load the add-in. . Step 1: Install LSC for PC 1-2-3 Release 3.1 in the PC 1-2-3 Release 3.4 add-in subdirectory using the steps documented in L123M's System Administration Guide (SH20-7265-1). . Step 2: Invoke PC 1-2-3 Release 3.4 . Step 3: Press Alt-F10 to invoke the Add-in Manager menu. . Step 4: Select Settings . Step 5: Select System . Step 6: Select Directory . Step 7: Enter the full path to the add-in subdirectory. Example: C:\123\ADDINS\ . Step 8: Select Update . Step 9: Select Quit . Step 10: Select Quit . Step 11: Load the Spreadsheet Connection add-in using the method documented in L123M's System Administration Guide (SH20-7265-1) for 1-2-3 Release 3.1.
