Error description

  • MSGCOMFTR08 ' COMMUNICATION ERROR - HOST DOESN'T RESPOND ' CAN
    BE ISSUED BY ANY VERSION OF PERSONAL COMMUNICATION 3270 WHEN
    RECEIVING A LARGE FILE FROM HOST TO PS/2.
        PROBLEM CAN BE SOLVED BY CODING THE OPTION 'TIME 150' IN THE
    RECEIVE COMMAND. DEFAULT FOR TIME IS 20, IT IS USED BY PERCOM TO
    CONTROL TRANSFER ( SEE TIME OPTION IN PERCOM DOCUMENTATION ).
    PERCOM SHOULD STRIP THE TIME 150 OPTION OFF AND PROCESS IT.
    THEY SHOULD NOT BE SENDING THIS OPTION TO THE VSE HOST.
    IF THEY ARE THEN CONTACT PERCOM LEVEL2.

    FOR ALL VERSIONS OF PERCOM IT HAS BEEN FOUND THAT TAILORING
    THE L= PARAMETER IN PERCOM.BAT WILL ELIMINATE COMFTR08
    AND PROG756 ERRORS ON SENDING OF FILES TO THE HOST.
