    1) IF A CALL CONCERNS THE 'PDF' DATASTREAM, IT IS ALMOST ALWAYS
    A 'DIALOG MANAGER' (DM) CALL,AS PDF DOES NOT ISSUE 'TPUTS'.
    SYMPTOMS IN THIS AREA WOULD INCLUDE: PROGXXX, MSGIKT00405I, ISPF
    SCREEN ERROR CODE NN, WRONG SCREEN SIZE, ETC. A GOOD DIAGNOSTIC
    CHECK FOR A GARBLED PDF SCREEN IS TO SEE IF THE 'RESHOW' KEY,
    (PA2), STRAIGTHENS IT OUT. IF THE RESHOW KEY CORRECTS THE SCREEN
    ,IT IS A DIALOG MANAGER RELATED CALL, BECAUSE PDF NEVER RECEIVES
    CONTROL DURING A RESHOW.

    2) PROBLEMS CONCERNING 'PDF' OPTION 6 ARE ALMOST ALWAYS A DIALOG
    MANAGER RELATED CALL. A SIMPLE WAY TO REMOVE OPTION 6 FROM THE
    PICTURE IS TO RUN THE FAILING COMMAND FROM A DIFFERENT PANEL BY
    PREFIXING IT WITH THE 'TSO' COMMAND. FOR EXAMPLE: A CLIST NAMED
    'ABC' FAILS WHEN INVOKED FROM OPTION 6, GO TO ANOTHER OPTION AND
    TYPE "TSO ABC" ON THE COMMAND LINE. IF IT FAILS, THE CALL IS A
    DIALOG MANAGER RELATED CALL.

    3) DIALOGS USING 'ISPEXEC' OR 'ISPLINK' CALLS ARE NOW SLIGHTLY
    LESS CLEAR-CUT THAN IN PREVIOUS RELEASES BECAUSE 'PDF' SERVICES
    CAN BE INVOKED IN THIS WAY. THE 'BROWSE','EDREC', AND 'EDIT'
    SERVICES,AS WELL AS ANY SERVICE WHICH BEGINS WITH THE CHARACTERS
    'LM' (SUCH AS LMPUT), BELONG TO 'PDF'. ALL OTHER SERVICES THAT
    ARE REQUESTED BY DIALOGS VIA 'ISPEXEC' OR 'ISPLINK' BELONG TO
    THE DIALOG MANAGER.

    4) 'EDIT' MACROS HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO INVOKE ALL THE DIALOG
    MANAGEMENT SERVICES. THE AVERAGE 'EDIT' MACRO USES ONLY EDIT
    COMMANDS, BUT IF IT USES 'FILE TAILORING' OR 'TABLE SERVICES' OR
    OTHER DIALOG MANAGER SERVICES, A PROBLEM WITH THOSE SERVICES
    WOULD BE A DIALOG MANAGER RELATED CALL.

    5) 'PDF' OPTION 7 (DIALOG TEST) IS USED TO TEST DIALOGS. IF THE
    CALL INDICATES INCORRECT FUNCTIONING OF THE 'DIALOG TEST' OPTION
    ITSELF, IT WOULD BE A 'PDF' PROBLEM. PROBLEMS WITH THE DIALOG
    BEING TESTED ARE PROBABLY DIALOG MANAGER RELATED PROBLEMS.

    6) FOR ABENDS, DETERMINE THE FIRST THREE (3) CHARACTERS OF THE
    ABENDING CSECT. AN "ISP" MEANS A DIALOG MANAGER RELATED PROBLEM.
    AN "ISR" INDICATES A 'PDF' RELATED PROBLEM.
