Error description

  • The "BACKUP VM" command might crash due to a XML parsing error
when saving VM guests with Application Protection.

Local fix

  • Do not use the option INCLUDE.VMTSMVSS
If in-guest Exchange or SQL server log truncation is needed, use
a dedicated Data Protection Client from within the guest.
