Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects of the WebSphere MQ Explorer 7.1 and 7.5
who are remotely connecting to a z/OS queue manager that has two
or more listeners defined that share the same port number.

    Platforms affected:
Linux on x86, Linux on x86-64, Windows

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
When a user connected MQ Explorer to a z/OS Queue Manager that
had two listeners defined that shared the same port number,
the MQ Explorer Listeners view only listed one of the two
    listeners.

z/OS allows for more than one TCP/IP stack, this means it is
possible define multiple listeners that have a different IP
address but have the same port. MQ Explorer was unable to
distinguish between these listeners as it did not correctly
account for the possibility of two listeners having the same
port number, which resulted in only one of the listeners being
listed in the MQ Explorer Listeners view.

Problem conclusion

  • The WebSphere MQ Explorer has been updated to correctly
display multiple z/OS TCP listeners that have the same port
    number.
