Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Backup-archive client versions TSM 6.4.1 and * * 7.1.0 running on all Microsoft Windows. * * * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DSMC SHOW VM ALL with no redirection * * displays all information on screen, * * but when the output is redirected * * to a file, the output is truncated * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the TSM 6.4.2 or 7.1.1 or higher client* **************************************************************** The problem is due to mixing wide-chars and non-wide-chars in the output to file caused by VMware's VDDK library. C++ classifies this as a "undefined behaviour".
