APAR status

Error description

  • A multithreaded WebSphere MQ application may fail when one
    thread disconnects an MQ connection while another thread is
    using it.  When this occurs, the application will generate an
    FDC with values similar to this:

      Probe Description :- AMQ6109: An internal WebSphere MQ error
                           has occurred.

    In addition, the FDC may show a Stack Backtrace similar to this:

    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    A memory access violation error occurs with the following
    function stack recorded in the FDC
    
    MQCLOSE
    reqGetConn
    xcsReleaseThreadMutexSem
    xcsFFST
    
    This error occurs when a thread tries to release the resources
    associated to a connection that is in an invalid state.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code was modified to correct the memory access violation
    error.
